PHA helps the COVID-19 vaccination program in Papua New Guinea

Partner Housing Australasia is privileged to partner with Vision for Homes, Digicel PNG Foundation, the PNG Western Highlands Provincial Health Authority (WHPHA) and the local community to fund, design and construct the Kopeng Community Health Building, the third in our current village community health building program. It is the perfect design for a rural health facility to deliver primary care services.

In addition to our core program of providing health care buildings, PHA is proud to also provide modest material assistance directly to the WHPHA immunisation program.

In an interview on ABC radio, broadcast 28 September 2021, the acting CEO of the WHPHA warned of the increasing dangers of COVID-19 transmission in the PNG Highlands, and the parlous state of funding for health services.

At the request of the WHPHA, PHA funded, designed and sent seven banners to be used directly in the PNG village vaccination program, the encourage greater uptake of vaccines. We hope that this small contribution (in addition to our core building program) helps foster the friendship, cooperation and mutual safety of our two countries.
